Horizons Youth Services provides an opportunity for young people to grow and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities by focusing on the development of skills that unleash the potential in them to become productive citizens.
Horizons Youth Services, which began in 1983, has developed and operated many innovative youth programs, including leadership development and leadership training programs. Twice a year, Horizons conducts its SGA Leadership Conferences for student representatives from regional Job Corps centers. Horizons has also been providing Job Corps Center operations for the U.S. Department of Labor.
Horizons Youth Services is operating the Muhlenberg Career Development Center in Greenville, Kentucky, the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, and the Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, West Virginia. HYS also partners as a subcontractor with Education and Training Resources, operator of the Turner Job Corps Center in Albany, Georgia, and with Serrato Corp., operator of the Cleveland Job Corps Center in Ohio. Horizons Youth Services also operates the Pennsylvania Outreach and Admissions contract for the Job Corps program.
