Charleston Job Corps students man registration table at Rockefeller pipeline safety hearing

Charleston (W.Va.) Job
Corps students Shauna Parsons and Shawn Murphy volunteered to work at the
registration table to sign in participants and visitors attending Sen. Jay
Rockefeller’s field hearing “Pipeline Safety: An On-the-Ground Look at
Safeguarding the Public.” The hearing was held Jan. 28 at the Robert C. Byrd
United States Courthouse in Charleston. During the hearing, students listened
to testimony from a homeowner affected by the recent Sissonville, W.Va.,
pipeline blast, industry leaders and specialists in the field. The students
were accompanied by Center Director Curtis Price and Business & Community
Liaison Tia Welch.
