Perkins staff brave cold for ropes course training
Yes, it’s cold outside… so cold that most people may think
it’s a bit too chilly to be out on the ropes course at Carl D. Perkins Job
Corps practicing skills learned during a recent re-certification and training of
the Ropes Course facilitators. But that’s exactly what staff did. They spent a
morning recently working on their ropes skills, setting up the course and
ensuring all safety procedures and protocols were in place. This training will
pay huge dividends once students return to center later this month. The Ropes
Course at Perkins is part of the Perkins Job Corps Leadership Program. Staff
will have weekly training on the course with students who enter the Leadership
Program.
